MAINTAINING YOUR SKIN DURING HOME ISOLATION

Well, we are now into the 5th week of self-isolation! I cannot believe how quickly that time has flown. We are missing being in the salon and seeing our gorgeous clients so much! The support, love and well wishes we have received have been overwhelming. It’s so amazing to see how loved and appreciated our business is. Do not fear, we will be back, bigger and stronger than before. Isolation has come with many positive benefits. More family time, deeper connections with our loved ones. A chance to reflect on life before, and how life will be when we slowly return to normality. I hope this time has enabled many of you to reflect, and use the time to make some positive changes. I myself have been spending some much needed uninterrupted time with my children, and working on an exciting new venture for the SKINN + WAXX salon (watch this space).

So…onto skin in isolation! Yes, I know, so many of you are starting to feel the effects of missing your regular facial treatments. The weather is starting to turn and as I sit here under the heater typing this I can feel the free water levels of my skin slowly starting to diminish. Soon that dry, scaley feeling will set in! Its time to take stock of your skin regime (if you have one, if you don’t its never too late to get started). The cooler months mean more layers on the body, and more layers on the skin! Its time to double up on your serums, seal your moisturiser in with a barrier protectant, start some home treatments, and ensure your taking your EFA skin + hair + nail supplements. Think of this cream as a big spongey pillow of moisture that will sit on the skin, sealing in the hydration and trapping it where we need it – in your skin!

This cream is a best seller in the DMK range, I love it all year round but most importantly in the cooler winter months.

This cream has the ability to hold up to 10 times its weight in water, Hydroloc is amazing for genetically dry or flaky skin, sunburn and burns as well as skin that suffers from eczema or exposure to harsh environments.

Apply this baby every AM +PM over your moisturiser to seal the skin. You can also layer foundation over this without any greasy feeling.

Remember the grape vs sultana analogy used earlier? These EFAS provide the substance to keep your skin cells healthy, juicy, and plump. EFA’s are responsible for repairing every cell membrane in the body.

Much like our in-salon Enzyme treatments this at-home kits will exfoliate dead skin cells, stimulate oxygen and blood flow to the skin and reveal a healthy skin glow. This kit is one-third of the strength of our in-salon enzymes and is super easy to use.

Simply mix equal amounts Foamy Lift powder with Exoderma Peel liquid, using the brush and bowl provided. Apply in an upwards motion on the chest, neck, and face. Each kit will provide at least 5-10 enzyme treatments.
